About this waste toner or ink collector
A waste collector catches the toner a laser printer cleans off its drum or belt, or the ink an inkjet printer flushes through its nozzles during cleaning. It is a container or a block of absorbent pads that fills over time. When it is full, or nearly full, the printer warns and then stops printing. Signs of a problem are a full-collector message that does not clear, toner or ink leaking inside the printer, or a collector the printer does not recognise.
