About this display panel
A display panel is the screen itself: the layer that forms the image and, in most modern panels, the LED backlight behind it. Laptop panels must match the machine in size, resolution, connector, mounting and surface finish, and a touch panel is a different part from a non-touch one. Signs of a failed panel include lines or blocks of colour, dead pixels, flickering, a very dim or dark image, and cracked glass. If the picture works on an external monitor but not on the built-in screen, the fault is the panel or its cable.
Is this the right part?
The panel's own part number is on a label on its back, which means removing the bezel to read it. Otherwise match the machine's exact model, the resolution, whether it is a touch panel, and whether the surface is matte or glossy. The manufacturer's part number for this listing is 41A1955.
Not sure? Send us the number from the label, or your machine's serial number, and we will confirm the match before you order.
