About this interconnect module
An interconnect module sits in the back of a blade enclosure and links the blade servers to the outside network or storage. It may be a switch, a pass-through that gives each blade its own port, or a virtualised connection module, for Ethernet or Fibre Channel. Each bay connects to particular adapter ports on every blade. Signs of a fault are links that stay down for every blade in that bay, a module the enclosure manager reports as failed, or a module that will not finish starting.
