About this palm rest
A palm rest is the upper section of a laptop's base, sometimes called the top cover or upper case, and it frames the keyboard and touchpad while supporting your wrists during typing. Assemblies vary: some arrive with the keyboard, touchpad, power button or fingerprint reader already fitted, so swapping the part can replace several components at once. Typical faults that lead to replacement include cracked or lifting corners, snapped clips or screw mounts, a riveted keyboard that has stopped working, or liquid damage beneath the keys.
Is this the right part?
Look for the part number on a label underneath the laptop. Before fitting, check what the assembly comes with, and compare the keyboard layout, backlighting, colour, plus any openings for a fingerprint or smart card reader. The manufacturer's part number for this listing is 90202796.
Not sure? Send us the number from the label, or your machine's serial number, and we will confirm the match before you order.
