About this PoE injector
A power-over-Ethernet injector adds power to a network cable so that an access point, camera or phone can run without its own power supply, where the switch does not provide power itself. It sits between the switch and the device, with a data port in and a powered port out. Signs of a fault are a device that will not power on although the cable tests good, a power light that is off, or a device that restarts under load.
