About this wireless card
A wireless card gives a laptop or desktop its Wi-Fi, and often Bluetooth, or connects it to a mobile network. It plugs into a small slot on the system board and connects to antenna cables that run up into the display. Some laptops will only start with a wireless card their manufacturer approved for that model. Signs of a fault are no wireless networks found, connections that drop, Bluetooth missing, or a card that disappears from the system; weak signal on its own more often points to the antennas.
