About this fuser
A fuser is the assembly inside a laser printer that fixes toner permanently onto paper. The sheet travels between a heated roller or film and a pressure roller, and the combination of heat and pressure melts the toner into the page. Fusers are built for a particular mains voltage, so that rating must suit your mains supply. As the unit wears, toner may smear or flake off, faint marks can repeat down the page, paper may crease or jam at the exit, or the printer may show a fuser error. Many printers track page counts and warn when replacement is due.
