Returns and warranty

Returns start from your invoice in My account. This page puts our Terms of sale into plain words; the Terms themselves are the authority.

How to start a return

  • Sign in, open the invoice from Orders & invoices in My account, and choose “Return this” on the line.
  • That opens the SPL Returns portal with the invoice filled in. It asks for its own sign-in, arranges the collection or drop-off, gives you an RMA number and tracks the return through to your credit or replacement.
  • Every return needs our authorisation before it is sent, with the invoice and the paperwork the portal asks for.
  • Login not connected to your SPL account yet? Choose “Connect my account” in My account first.

Wrong part, or not what you ordered

  • Tell us within 4 days of delivery if a part is not what you ordered or does not work. After that, our Terms treat it as accepted, working and as ordered.
  • Stock items can come back unused and in their original, resaleable condition, with our approval.
  • A restocking fee applies to these returns. The Returns portal shows it before you confirm.

Faulty parts and warranty claims

  • Claims for a faulty part go through the Returns portal like any other return, with the original invoice.
  • Send the faulty part back to us: a credit for a faulty or warranty part needs the part itself.
  • Exchange parts are invoiced at their full price. When your faulty part reaches us, we credit that invoice under the RMA.
  • Where a manufacturer’s warranty applies, the claim also follows the manufacturer’s terms.

Warranty

  • Parts carry an SPL warranty of one year from the invoice date, unless the product page or your quote states a different period or no warranty.
  • Where the manufacturer’s warranty is longer than a year, it applies as well for the rest of its period.
  • Claim through us, not the manufacturer: SPL is responsible for the warranty on the parts we supply.

What cannot be returned

  • Non-stock items. Not sure whether a part is a stock item? Ask us before you order.
  • Stock items that have been used, or are not in their original, resaleable condition.
  • Anything sent back without our authorisation.

Credit notes and replacements

  • An approved return is settled with a credit note against your invoice, or with a replacement part.
  • Your credit notes are in My account with your other documents.
