About this SAN switch
A SAN switch links servers to shared storage across a Fibre Channel fabric that stays apart from the everyday data network. These switches vary in port speed, in total port count, and in how many ports carry a licence for active use; blade chassis accept switch modules built to the same design. Warning signs include ports that refuse to log in, storage paths that fall away, unexpected restarts, and cooling fans or power supplies that stop working.
Is this the right part?
Find the model and part number on the label fixed to the switch. Compare the speed and licensed port count with what you require, confirm which transceivers it takes, and back up the zoning configuration before you swap it. The manufacturer's part number for this listing is 43W6727.
Not sure? Send us the number from the label, or your machine's serial number, and we will confirm the match before you order.
