About this transfer unit
A transfer unit carries the toner image across from the drum and places it onto the sheet. Colour laser machines commonly use a belt that gathers each colour in sequence, while other designs fit a roller positioned below the drum. This component wears down with every page printed, and many machines flag it when replacement is due. Fading or patchy colour, colours sitting out of alignment with one another, pale patches, or a transfer or belt warning on the control panel all point to wear.
Is this the right part?
Look for the part number on a label attached to the unit itself or to the belt frame. Each unit suits one printer family, so check your printer's model number, shown on the rear label or inside a door, alongside the part number before fitting. The manufacturer's part number for this listing is JC96-05690A.
Not sure? Send us the number from the label, or your machine's serial number, and we will confirm the match before you order.
