About this projector lamp
A projector lamp is the bulb that produces the light a projector throws onto the screen, and it sits in a housing that slides into a bay inside the machine. Most projectors track how long the lamp has been lit. Brightness falls slowly over its working life, and colours often shift towards yellow or green as it wears out. Typical end-of-life signs are a warning light, an on-screen message asking for a replacement, shutdown shortly after start-up, or a lamp that fails to light. It can also stop working without warning, sometimes with an audible pop.
Is this the right part?
Check the part number printed on the lamp housing, which is also given in the manual or on a label inside the lamp door. You can also match against the model number on the label beneath the projector. After fitting, reset the lamp timer in the menu. The manufacturer's part number for this listing is DELL 7700.
Not sure? Send us the number from the label, or your machine's serial number, and we will confirm the match before you order.
