About this wireless card
A wireless card is a small circuit board that gives a computer its Wi-Fi connection, and often Bluetooth or mobile broadband as well. It fits into a dedicated slot on the motherboard and links to antenna leads routed into the screen. Slot types and antenna connectors vary, so both must suit the machine. Some laptops refuse to boot unless the card appears on the manufacturer's approved list for that model. Faults show as no networks detected, connections that keep dropping, missing Bluetooth, or the card vanishing from the system. Poor signal alone usually points to the antennas instead.
Is this the right part?
You will find the part number printed on the card's label. Before fitting, compare the slot type and, where your laptop accepts only approved cards, check the model's supported list. Note which antenna lead attaches to which connector before you remove the old card. The manufacturer's part number for this listing is 01AX798.
Not sure? Send us the number from the label, or your machine's serial number, and we will confirm the match before you order.
